I write contemporary fiction much of which is set in Birmingham, including my two novels: Deeds Not Words and Park Life. I have a short ghost story in this anthology and you can read a couple of very short pieces of mine online at The Pygmy Giant and The Drabble.
If you'd like a peek inside my writing world this interview by Jane Davis gives you just that. I've also shared the view from my writing desk with Clare Flynn. If you use Goodreads you can chat about my books there. I'd love to hear what you think so do please post your reviews online or get in touch.
As well as writing fiction, I also offer editorial services, run the PoW-WoW Writers' Group and chair the annual PoW-WoW Festival of Writing.
11th May - I'm running a workshop on writing stories from scratch at The Little Grey Shed in Kings Heath. Perfect for those who'd like to get started in writing stories of their own.
17th June - my Stories from Scratch workshop will run at the Creative Coffee Hub in Selly Oak. Details to follow.
24th September - I'm delighted to be one of the guests at the BookCrossing UK UnConvention. For more details, see their website.
I love meeting readers and am happy to attend events to talk about Deeds Not Words and Park Life, books in general, writing and anything else which crops up. I've also given talks to writers interested in self-publishing and run writing workshops for writers' groups. Do get in touch if you'd like me to visit your group or event.
